The Kanagawa Institute of Technology in Japan recently unveiled this pregnancy simulator for men called the “Mommy Tummy” which simulates baby weight, allows the father to feel the baby kicking, rolling around in the womb, and gradually increases the size of the abdomen and breast regions over time to mimic the body changes experienced over a nine month period. The simulation lasts for approximately 2 minutes… Check out the video below.
Only In Japan
Hmm… how tasty!@ Oh! And it’s a zero calorie drink! (Of course I’m being sarcastic.) Also, please excuse the Engrish below. More info here.

Ahh… I love it. It’s so pointless. This is a doughnut carrying case that provides all the security and comfort you need. It has a security hole that can be padlocked, a grip (with space for a name tag), ventilation holes to ensure maximum freshness, and a center hole for those times where you don’t know where to store your lollipop. Check the video after the break. Oh yeh, in case you actually want this thing, you can buy it here.
Only In Japan: Actroid F – Humanoid Robot Mimics Human Facial Expressions
Posted by vinnykumar | Only In Japan | No Commentsvia engadget. Okay, this is pretty creepy. If I didn’t know better, I’d think this was a woman imitating a robot… not the other way around.
What you’re looking at above is Actroid-F, Kokoro Co. Ltd. and ATR‘s latest iteration of the creepy humanoid robot that can mime the operator’s facial expressions and head movements with unbelievable (but not quite human) accuracy. Her current job is to act as “as an observer in hospitals to gauge patient reactions.” We guess that’s one way to get around euthanasia laws. See what we mean in the video after the break.
Only In Japan: Children Fight A Zombie In Their House
Posted by vinnykumar | Only In Japan, WTF?! | No Commentsvia TokyoMango. Haha… WTF?! Here is a television show in Japan where the TV crew plays a prank on three children who believe they must fight off a zombie entering their home. Make sure to read the subtitles to understand what’s going on.
[I]t’s funny that the zombie writes them a letter to tell them he’s coming over, and then takes off his shoes before entering the house. Very polite. My favorite part is when the older boy starts crying and then tells the reporter off for not doing anything to help them. The weapons they use are great too: Tabasco, plastic wrap, a toy dinosaur…
The artist, Yayoi Kusama, partnered with Coca Cola to design this wonderful polka-dotted vending machine.
Uh… this is crazy. This is Repliee R-1, a robot built by Osaka University’s Robotics Department. Is the world ready for this?
Nuff’ Said.
Haha… these are available at the 100 yen store in Japan. Not sure what they are useful for, but the packaging promises that they will safely protect your fingers during household chores, office work, and other activities.
Haha… I love the commercials in Japan. This is great.
