This hard disk drive was made of 50 24-inch discs stacked together, and could store a whopping 5mb of data! Oh yeh, it weighed nearly a ton and cost $35,000. What could you possibly hold on 5mb today!? One mp3?
via neatorama. The world’s first amphibious ice cream van recently set sail in the Thames, apparently because there must be a demand for ice cream in the world’s rivers and canals… Named the HMS Flake 99, it is a promotional venture by Cadbury Icecreamland.
This is a crazy new sport in Japan called Bo Taoshi. It’s like Capture the Flag meets Rugby… except much more violence. Check out the video below.
The rules are simple: There are 150 men on each team. Seventy-five men defend their team’s pole, while the other 75 try to pull down the opponents pole. This is done by any means necessary, and as you can see below, the mayhem is brutal, and of course stupid. A winning strategy usually involves running up the backs of your teammates, it seems, and launching yourself at the enemy pole.
