Throwback: Sauce Money – "Action"

Posted by | Music, Throwbacks | No Comments

From time to time I’ll feature classic records in a section called “Throwbacks.” The new video from Sauce Money reminded me of the classic records he put out back in the day. I still remember his first 12″ single called “Action”. Check it out below.

Video: Major Lazer – "Pon De Floor"

Posted by | Music, Pop Music | No Comments

Here’s the video for Major Lazer’s “Pon De Floor” – this song has very few lyrics, however, it’s catchy as hell. In fact, Major Lazer was one of the acts that performed during the Ultra Music Festival during WMC in Miami this year. I heard a remix of this record by Lil Jon when I was down there. Now, a little about the video – it was directed by Eric Wareheim from “Tim and Eric’s Awesome Show” on Adult Swim. Let’s just say, the video is very trippy and has a lot of people doing the popular Jamaican dance called “daggering”. Check it out. Lol.

Good to see Sauce Money back on the scene… Apparently he’s releasing an album on Sept. 6th on Asylum Records. For those of you who don’t know, he was originally part of Jay-Z’s Roc-A-Fella crew, and also wrote Puff Daddy’s Grammy winning tribute to the Notorious B.I.G., “I’ll Be Missing You”.
