via MikeSenese. This is not an easy process, but it is pretty interesting. Check out the videos, courtesy of Discovery’s How It’s Made after the break. Also, check out more about how to replicate vinyl as well here.
“If you haven’t seen the exact process in how records are created, you might be surprised at how much manual cooperation is involved. From inspecting the metal pressing discs and the lacquered masters, to centering the disc for hole punching, you’ve got sweet old ladies who are meticulously making sure your music will sound great. And the actual assembly process, even with automation, is like something you’d see in a Detroit auto maker’s factory: heavy hydraulic equipment pressing hot platters into precision shapes, rotating slicers, and vacuum-assisted label placers.”
Wow… I’m really diggin’ Mac Miller’s music. His new mixtape, K.I.D.S., will be dropping August 13th. You can watch his video for “Kool Aid and Frozen Pizza” here.
“Can’t Be Friends” is the second single from Trey Songz upcoming album, Passion, Pain, and Pleasure, which drops September 14th. I think this is way better than “Bottoms Up” featuring Nicki Minaj. Trey breaks down how a relationship can’t move backwards and the heartbreak of it ending without the friendship.
