This is pretty cool… This is an animatronic door designed for Halloween that portrays an axe-wielding killer attempting to enter the room. The door works with a 22-inch LCD monitor and a DVD. I’m sure many of you have seen the popular Showtime series, Dexter. Well here’s the story behind this: A guy goes out for a few weeks on vacation, and his roommate and friends convert his room into Dexter’s ‘Kill Room’. Judging from the photo, this guy is guilty of killing a cat and some stuffed animal. Haha. Dubai’s Burj Al-Arab is the world’s tallest building which is filled with every luxury imaginable… including a tennis court that is 650 feet above the ground, with an area of 4,500 square feet. This is not exactly a permanent structure (seems kind of dangerous actually) – the area is the building’s grass helipad that was converted into a tennis court shortly to promote the Dubai Open back in 2005. Thrill seekers can walk along the edge of the building, 356m/1168ft (116 stories), above the ground. Ghost ants, scientifically known as tapinoma melanocephalum feed on various sweets. Their abdomens are transparent, and therefore you can see the food they eat in full color. Pretty cool. Indian scientist Mohamed Babu concocted sweet, syrupy, and brightly colored sugar drops, and photographed these ants as they ate. Read more about these ants here. More photos after the break.
