‘Fat Ho Burgers’ Opens In Texas

via eater. Fat Ho Burgers is a new restaurant in Waco, Texas that has (to no one’s surprise) caused quite a bit of controversy. Owner, Lakita Evans, is adamantly defending the name of her new restaurant, and suggests that it is similar to several other restaurants, e.g. Hooters. For some reason, this reminds me of other somewhat questionable names that I’ve seen in the past. For Eyes – An eyeglasses shop called “Four Eyes” – isn’t that an insult to people who wear glasses? Athlete’s Foot – a shoe store called “Athlete’s Foot” i.e. A fungal infection affecting the skin between the toes. It is a form of ringworm.

Anyways, apparently the restaurant has turned out to be pretty popular – there is normally a line heading out the door. What do you think of the name? Is it offensive? Check out the menu and some video below.
