This was one of my favorite hip hop records in the early 90s. Boot Camp Clik members Smif-N-Wessun released their album, Dah Shinin’ after Black Moon’s 1993 debut Enta Da Stage.

Via RapRadar. Looks like the Wu-Tang Clan’s RZA has confirmed via Twitter that he will be producing the GZA’s entire album entitled Liquid Swords 2. I think a lot of people have been waiting for a full album produced by the RZA. It should be a good year for the return of 90s era hip hop. If you haven’t noticed, Raekwon’s Only Built For Cuban Linx came out… and did surprisingly well. Capone N Noreaga’s War Report 2 is coming out this Summer. Sadat X’s Wild Cowboys 2 is coming out… I think everyone is trying to recapture that 90s era sound. Should be interesting.
Basic Vocab’s sophomore album “A Better Way” is out on all digital stores today! It was released as an iTunes exclusive on April 13th, and will be available on eMusic, Rhapsody, Amazon, and hundreds of other stores later today. Pick it up if you are a fan of Talib Kweli, Blackstar, A Tribe Called Quest, Little Brother, etc. Definitely worth the purchase! We worked hard on this album. VA Beach seems like a breeding ground for dope hip hop/pop producers. Of course you’ve heard of Teddy Riley, The Neptunes, Timbaland, and Danjahandz… I’m from Virginia and I spent a good deal of time working at Teddy Riley’s Future Recording Studios. Nottz has always been pretty active in the music world… He’s produced records for Drake, Busta Rhymes, Skillz, Snoop Dogg, 50 Cent, The Game, Asher Roth, etc. This is a viral video he made for his upcoming solo album.
