I met Ray Lavender at Teddy Riley’s Future Studios back in Virginia several years ago (when he was part of a group called Collabo). Ray L is one of the dopest new R&B artists/writers in the game. “Can’t Be Friends” is the second single from Trey Songz upcoming album, Passion, Pain, and Pleasure, which drops September 14th. I think this is way better than “Bottoms Up” featuring Nicki Minaj. Trey breaks down how a relationship can’t move backwards and the heartbreak of it ending without the friendship.

I like this new record by Bei Maejor… It’s called “Gamez” and features Keri Hilson. Bei Maejor is signed to Jive Records through Ne-Yo’s Compound music company. He is a singer/songwriter/producer who has produced songs for Trey Songz, Sean Kingston, Chrisette Michelle, LeToya Luckett, Bun B, Ne-Yo, Monica, Ginuwine, Plies, Diggy Simmons and has featured on songs by Ciara (“Ride”) and Plies (“She Got It Made”). He is also coming out with an EP titled “ǝpısdn uʍop” which will be dropping soon.
