New music video for Sauce Money’s “Snipershot” off his upcoming album on Asylum Records (Warner Music Group). Sounds like he may put out the album that should’ve come out during his Roc-A-Fella days. Anyways, this album will supposedly feature Jay-Z and Memphis Bleek.

The Game – "It Must Be Me" (Prod. Pharrell Williams)
Posted by vinnykumar | Hip Hop, Music | No CommentsNew single from The Game produced by Pharrell Williams called “It Must Be Me.” It has a 90s hip hop vibe to it… I’m not sure if I love this record, but it’s starting to grow on me.

Lupe Fiasco – "I’m Beamin" (Prod. The Neptunes)
Posted by vinnykumar | Hip Hop, Music, UGHH | No CommentsSo this record has been floating around for a little while now. This song started out as a leak from Lupe Fiasco’s album around December, which was initially supposed to be a single. Later, it was pulled from the blogs, and was put up on iTunes. Now it’s being serviced to radio again with a slightly altered beat and some additional instrumentation. Overall, it’s a good song. I hear that a remix with the Cool Kids is coming soon…

Legendary rap artist Keith Elam, p/k/a Guru (of Gangstarr) passed away on Monday (4/19) after a lengthy battle with cancer at the young age of 43. Guru’s recent manager, Solar, expressed his condolences in the following statement: “The world has lost one of the best MCs and Hip-Hop icons of all-time — my loyal best friend, partner, and brother, Guru. Guru has been battling cancer for well over a year and has lost his battle! This is a matter that Guru wanted private until he could beat it, but tragically, this did not happen. The cancer took him. Now the world has lost a great man and a true genius.” Solar also posted a letter that Guru supposedly wrote in his final days explaining his disease, his non-profit organization, and some surprising final words for DJ Premier. R.I.P. Keith Elam and I send my condolences to his family. Here is one of my favorite Gangstarr records, Moment of Truth:
