If you don’t know who M.I.A. is, you’ve probably heard her music (e.g. Paper Planes) in the movies “Pineapple Express” and “Slumdog Millionaire.” This video is pretty long and uh… kind of NSFW. I like M.I.A., but I might need some time for this to grow on me. UPDATE: Also, according to Billboard, it was apparently banned from YouTube for graphic violence…
Not sure what’s up with everyone doing teasers for their music videos these days, but here’s a new single from Esmee Denters featuring Justin Timberlake. Esmee Denters is a Dutch singer/songwriter and is also the first artist on Justin Timberlake’s record label called Tennman Records (a subsidiary of Interscope Records).
So the first time I ever heard of Red Cafe was in my younger days in law school. I somehow managed to weasel my way into VIP at some club in Miami, and by the end of it… I found myself sitting on a couch next to P Diddy. I was just about to speak to him when Red Cafe’s manager breaks in and says “yo Diddy, I just want to tell you about my new artist Red Cafe!!!” Next thing you know, Diddy talks to him for a minute and then gets up and walks out of the room… Now I see that Red Cafe is signed to Bad Boy, and I never ended up speaking to P Diddy. LOL. Anyways, this is a great record… Props to Red Cafe. Check it out.
Via NahRight. Full video premiere on Monday on MTV2. Trap or Die 2 drops April 30th. TM103 will be out in July. I can’t believe there are trailers for music videos now.
New music video for Sauce Money’s “Snipershot” off his upcoming album on Asylum Records (Warner Music Group). Sounds like he may put out the album that should’ve come out during his Roc-A-Fella days. Anyways, this album will supposedly feature Jay-Z and Memphis Bleek.
This is the music video for “Say Goodbye To Love” by Kenna, an Ethiopian-born American artist who has close ties to the Neptunes. He self-produces his music, and also is co-produced by Chad Hugo and Pharrell Williams.
I also am including the video for the single “Freetime” off of Kenna’s first album after the break.
I believe this is just a trailer promoting the new mixtape from Young Jeezy, “Trap or Die 2.” Not really sure if there is an actual movie coming out, but it seems like Don Cannon has replaced DJ Drama as the official host of this epic album. Anyways, stay tuned for more.
New N.E.R.D. album slated for later this year (Summer 2010). Check out the video where Pharrell talks about his daily life and the new album. Supposedly this album went through several changes, wherein they included a new female group member Rhea, and then they decided to go with the original lineup of just Pharrell, Chad, and Shay.
