The Simpsons x Kidrobot ‘Mini Series 2’

via the305. Ahh… I love Kidrobot. As an avid comic book/vinyl toy/all around geek, I make sure to stop by Kidrobot everytime I go to LA, NYC, or Miami. Kidrobot is planning to release the second series of their highly popular Simpsons vinyl figures. More photos after the break. Basically you buy a ‘blind box’, open it, and then discover which figure you get! It’s the same way a lot of Japanese Anime pvc figures are sold. Once again Matt Groening and The Simpsons team up with Kidrobot to release a second mini series of collectible vinyl fun. The 25-character series features some of Springfield’s most notable citizens including extended family members and lovable barflies, as well as alternate versions of your favorite nuclear family along with two top secret chases. The blind boxed series will retail for $9.95 US and releases on October 28th.

Buenos Aires Vertical Zoo

via archdaily. This is an excellent idea for a zoo called the “Eco-Cliff” which was made for the Buenos Aires Vertical Zoo Competition. This was designed by Hila Davidpu, Tal Gazit, Eli Gotman, and Hofi Harari. I hope they make this. More pics after the break.

The “ECO-CLIFF” is a revolutionary tower that will serve as a nesting ground for thousands of migrating birds as well as an ecological habitat for the different animals and species of the “Costanera Sur Ecological Reserve ”.

A Big Fat Thanks To Record Execs

via icanhasinternets. This was in the August issue of Rolling Stone magazine. Do you think they have a valid point? Although file sharing is a great way to expose people to new music, I think the record companies have a good point as well. I mean, they have to combat illegal file sharing, otherwise, they are going to lose their ability to monetize music. Does getting bombarded with free music everyday devalue it? I think so. I get so much free music everyday that I rarely go purchase CDs/MP3s anymore. What do you think?

Hooters Girl Competes In Contest Thinking She’ll Win A Toyota, Actually Wins ‘Toy Yoda’

via geekologie. This is hilarious. Never heard about this story before, but it’s apparently pretty old. A Florida Hooters waitress competed in a beer-sales competition, in which the prize was supposed to be a Toyota. The only problem was that the contest was never actually written anywhere, only spoken.

In a funny twist and play on words, Hooters didn’t award a Toyota but gave her a ……
A Toy Yoda!

Jodee Berry, the former waitress, is now suing Hooters! Appearantly, she wasn’t too amused by the joke!

Haha. What a terrible prank. Apparently, Hooters ended up settling the case.
