This guy thought it’d be funny to let his pet bullfrog play “Ant Crusher” (a game made for the iPhone). After the bullfrog was not actually able to eat his prey… well, let’s just say it found a new target. Check out the video below.

via youtube, wikipedia. I’m sure that most of you have seen Seth McFarlane’s popular television show, Family Guy, that airs on Fox. Ever wonder where the idea for this show originated? Where did Seth McFarlane get the inspiration for Stewie’s character? Check out some clips of Seth’s student film, The Life of Larry, his first finished cartoon, Larry and Steve, as well as the original pilot for Family Guy. Only In Japan: Store Employs Colorful Language to Advertise Sale

without comments

via japansubculture. Hahaha… I remember I was in India once around Christmas time and saw a sign that said “Happy Christmas and Merry New Year!”… that made me laugh. It is not uncommon for people in foreign countries to misuse words or phrases in the English language. Recently in Japan, there was an advertisement for a “f*ckin’ sale” at Gallerie (which appears to sell handbags and women’s clothing)… too funny. Photos after the break.

Eco PodHotel

without comments

The Alpine ski resort Flims is now allowing visitors to stay in an eco-friendly pod hotel designed by Robust Outdoor Brands. More photos after the break.

The pods are built with only European wood, and without glue or chemicals. They can house two people, and are heated using electricity.

‘The Pod Hotel is a pilot programme testing the structures in snowy conditions,’ says Karl Muller, manager of Robust Outdoor Brands. ‘We wanted to create something between camping and staying in a hotel, which gave a feeling of isolation.’

2013 Bentley Continental GT V8

without comments

Bentley has updated it’s Continental GT line for the 2013 model year revealing the new luxury couple at the 2012 North American International Auto Show in Detroit.

The new 2013 Bentley Continental GT V8 signals a new focus for the Bentley marque, a move away from the gas-guzzling W12 engine for a refreshingly restrained V8.  Now most of us wouldn’t consider a V8 to present a significant improvement in fuel economy, but at cruising speeds the Continental GT will shut down four of eight cylinders for higher-efficiency driving.  That four-cylinder mode will provide 23 MPG driving (laughable for most of us, but not if you’re buying a performance car like this) and can extend this Bentley’s range to 500 miles on a tank of gas.  Even with the smaller engine, the new Bentley Continental GT V8 can hit 60 mph from a standing start in less than five seconds.  Its exterior is still a Bentley kind of beautiful, and the interior is elegant and refined.

Only In Japan: Goldfish Salvation

without comments

via thisiscolossal. Watch the video first. :) You can get a sneak peak at how Japanese artist Riusuke Fukahori “paints” these amazing (and realistic) three dimensional goldfish paintings. As you can imagine, the process is very detailed, meticulous, and painstakingly executed. More photos and video below.

The fish are painted layer by layer, to finally create a full 3-D painting that would look exactly like “real” and live goldfish. Only, these fish won’t move. The transparent resin gives an excellent appearance of water, making the painting appear all the more realistic. Fukahori displayed his work at a recent exhibition in London titled Goldfish Salvation.

Check out the video below.
